We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Amazon Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Amazon FBA business. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for inventory management, account health, reconciliation, pricing strategies, and managing a team of product researchers. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, proficiency in Excel, and a high degree of personal accountability, with a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure business success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Management
Lead and manage a team of product researchers, ensuring that their research efforts align with business goals and quality standards.
Review and evaluate the leads submitted by your team, ensuring they meet the necessary criteria for purchase and potential profitability.
Oversee the purchasing of selected leads, ensuring that all acquisitions are in line with the business strategy and budget.
Maintain a high standard of lead quality and consistently monitor team performance to ensure monthly goals are being met.
Hold the team accountable for achieving key performance metrics and provide guidance, support, and feedback to improve productivity.
Develop and implement strategies to help the team achieve monthly targets and improve performance.
Outcome: Ensure your team consistently meets or exceeds monthly performance targets, maintaining high-quality research and efficient lead purchasing.
2. Inventory Management
Track and manage inventory from the date of purchase through all stages of the inventory cycle.
Ensure all inventory is accurately accounted for, avoiding discrepancies and stockouts.
Regularly update inventory records, track product quantities, and monitor trends.
Outcome: Ensure that inventory is properly managed at all stages to prevent losses and ensure timely restocks.
3. Account Health & Seller Central Management
Monitor and maintain Amazon account health to ensure smooth and uninterrupted selling activity.
Actively track key metrics and work to minimize account health issues, such as performance notifications, returns, and customer complaints.
Collaborate with managers and legal teams when escalation is necessary.
Outcome: Maintain a high level of account health with minimal issues that could affect sales and operations.
4. Reconciliation
Regularly reconcile inventory levels, sales, refunds, and fees to ensure accurate reporting between the seller account and actual physical stock.
Verify that all transactions, including cashback and payment records, are correctly logged and balanced.
Outcome: Maintain accurate financial and inventory records to support smooth operations and prevent discrepancies.
5. Repricing & Market Strategy
Implement and manage repricing strategies using software tools to stay competitive and maximize profitability.
Adjust product prices in response to market conditions, competitor pricing, and inventory levels.
Regularly analyze pricing data to identify opportunities for maximizing sales and minimizing stale inventory.
Outcome: Keep product pricing competitive and aligned with market trends while maximizing profitability.
6. Resource Management
Oversee the strategic allocation of resources (inventory, capital, human resources, etc.) to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
Ensure that operational processes are running smoothly and that resources are used effectively.
Outcome: Optimize resource usage to improve business performance and profitability.
Additional Requirements:
Very strong background in product research with a proven ability to consistently find profitable product leads.
This includes:
Identifying products that are safe from IP complaints.
Ensuring products are replenishable for long-term sales.
Avoiding price tanking by carefully evaluating pricing trends and competition.
Vetting products from trustworthy and reputable retailers to ensure product authenticity and reliability.
Positive attitude and the ability to inspire and lead a team that is not only efficient but also happy, motivated, and excited to come to work.
2+ years of experience managing Amazon Seller Central accounts, preferably in an FBA environment.
Proficiency in Excel (advanced skills in data analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, and reporting highly preferred) to manage inventory, sales data, and financial reconciliation.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, particularly in tracking inventory and financial data.
Familiarity with Amazon’s account health policies and experience in resolving performance issues.
Knowledge of repricing strategies and software.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including management and legal teams when needed.
A high degree of personal accountability, self-motivation, and the ability to take ownership of tasks and projects.
Willingness to work extra hours or adjust schedules as needed to meet business demands and ensure the success of the store.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience managing and leading teams to meet performance goals, providing guidance, and ensuring accountability.
