We’re looking for a detail-oriented Amazon Product Researcher to join our eCommerce team. In this role, you’ll analyze market trends, scout profitable products, and help expand our product lineup on Amazon. You should be comfortable with data-driven decision-making, have solid knowledge of Amazon’s marketplace, and be able to communicate findings clearly to our internal team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Sourcing & Analysis
• Identify new and profitable product opportunities using various research methods (keyword analysis, competitor tracking, bestseller lists, etc.).
• Evaluate potential suppliers/vendors based on cost, quality, and reliability.
2. Market & Competitor Research
• Conduct regular competitor checks to stay ahead of pricing, promotions, and new product launches.
• Compile data on competitor strategies, rankings, and customer reviews to guide product decisions.
3. Data Management & Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of all sourced products, including cost breakdowns, sales estimates, and profit margins.
• Prepare routine reports on product performance, market trends, and recommendations for improvements or new listings.
4. Collaboration with Internal Teams
• Coordinate with the purchasing and inventory teams to ensure a smooth supply chain flow.
• Work closely with marketing and listing specialists to optimize product listings, keywords, and pricing strategies.
5. Quality Assurance & Compliance
• Verify product certifications, compliance with Amazon policies, and local regulations.
• Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure quality standards are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications
1. Experience in Amazon Research
• Previous experience with tools like Jungle Scout, Helium 10, Viral Launch, or similar product research software.
• Understanding of Amazon FBA, private label, or wholesale models is a plus.
2. Analytical & Detail-Oriented
• Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data, profit margins, and customer feedback.
• Accuracy in recording and presenting data is crucial.
3. Strong Communication
• Excellent English skills (spoken and written) for reporting findings and collaborating with international teams.
• Ability to present research insights clearly and concisely.
4. Time Management & Self-Motivation
• Ability to work remotely, manage your schedule, and meet deadlines without constant supervision.
• Proactive mindset and willingness to go the extra mile to find high-performing products.
5. Familiarity with E-commerce Tools & Spreadsheets
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data tracking and analysis.
• Experience with project management or collaboration tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Slack) is beneficial.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in sourcing products from Alibaba, global trade shows, or local Philippine suppliers.
• Basic knowledge of SEO and Amazon listing optimization best practices.
