Job Description:
We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Ad Ops & QA Specialist to join our growing Media Strategy & Operations team.
You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless and accurate activation of media plans within our programmatic Demand Side Platforms (DSPs). Working closely with Customer Success, Media Strategy, and Programmatic teams, this role is tasked with guaranteeing that every aspect of our campaigns—from creative assignments to targeting parameters to budgets —is flawlessly executed and maintained throughout their flight. A key function of this role includes developing, maintaining, and enforcing consistent naming conventions that streamline operations and facilitate efficient quality assurance processes.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in programmatic advertising and ad operations, prides themselves on having strong attention to detail, and has a deep passion for accurate activation.
Key Responsibilities:
Campaign Ad Trafficking:
Upload and map creative assets to the appropriate DSP campaigns, ensuring accurate assignment of creative units, sizes, formats, and flight dates.
Configure and verify location targeting parameters, ensuring that geo-targeting aligns precisely with each campaign’s strategic intent.
Implement and confirm the proper set up of impression and click trackers, including click-through URLs with correctly assigned UTM parameters.
Naming Conventions & Operational Standards:
Develop and maintain a clear, scalable naming convention system for creatives to ensure easy organization, retrieval, and QA.
Document all campaign setup and QA processes for internal training and onboarding purposes.
Enforce adherence to naming conventions across campaigns, creatives and line items across teams, providing training, documentation, and support where necessary.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Develop, document, and refine bulk QA processes to validate campaign setups at scale, ensuring 100?curacy.
Conduct routine (daily, weekly, monthly) QA checks to verify that campaigns run with correct budgets, flight dates, creatives, audience segments, impression trackers, click trackers and click through URLs
Identify and collaborate with teams to quickly rectify discrepancies, ensuring issues are escalated and resolved to maintain campaign integrity.
Continuously assess and improve QA frameworks and operational workflows, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency, and accuracy improvements.
Provide actionable recommendations for process enhancements that can increase workflow efficiency and reduce errors.
Ensure proper setup of campaign tracking for performance reporting.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to campaign setups, trackers, and creative delivery.
Collaborate with the analytics team to validate data accuracy and provide input on custom reporting requirements.
Stay up-to-date with the latest DSP platform updates, features, and best practices.
Test and evaluate new tools or features that could improve campaign management or QA processes.
Collaboration & Communication
Partner with Customer Success, Media Strategy, and Programmatic teams to understand campaign objectives and ensure timely and accurate campaign launches.
Communicate discrepancies, blockers, and QA findings to the relevant stakeholders, proposing effective solutions and next steps.
Serve as a subject matter expert on best practices for ad trafficking, QA checks, and naming conventions, offering training and guidance to internal teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2-3 years of hands-on experience in an ad operations, ad trafficking or QA role, ideally with experience with programmatic campaigns
Proficiency with major DSP platforms (i.e. The Trade Desk, Amobee)
Strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Proven ability to follow structured QA processes while also identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in using Excel for bulk QA audits
