This remote position will play a critical role in managing the accounts receivable cycle for our portfolio of commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial real estate, be proficient in Yardi Voyager, and possess exceptional communication skills to maintain strong tenant relationships while ensuring timely collection of payments.
Key Responsibilities:
Tenant Billing and Invoicing:
-Verify tenant balances and post monthly charges, including rent, CAM (Common Area Maintenance), and other billable items, using Yardi Voyager.
- Generate and distribute tenant billing statements accurately and on schedule.
Payment Processing and Reconciliation:
- Process and record tenant payments received via Yardi, tenant portals, ACH transfers, and checks.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of tenant accounts to ensure accuracy and promptly address discrepancies.
Delinquency Management and Collections:
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue balances.
- Initiate follow-ups with tenants for outstanding payments around the 6th of the month via
- Issue late notices and letters by the 15th of the month in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with the property management team to escalate unresolved delinquencies.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate AR aging reports and provide insights on outstanding balances and collection statuses.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant communications and payment statuses within Yardi.
Tenant Communication and Support:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenant billing inquiries.
- Assist tenants with setting up payment plans or resolving account discrepancies.
Tools:
- Advanced knowledge of Yardi Voyager or similar property management and accounting software is required.
- Experience utilizing project management software (experience with ClickUp is preferred but not required).
- Fluency with the Microsoft Office suite, including strong Excel skills, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
