JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounts Payable Specialist oversees the management and processing of all invoices and payments to vendors and suppliers. This position ensures that payments are made promptly and accurately while keeping comprehensive financial records. Key duties involve verifying the accuracy of invoices, resolving discrepancies, liaising with vendors, and generating monthly reports.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Supervises payables processing.
- Reviews monthly account statements
- Uploading of bills to the accounting system
- Monitoring of the accounts payable aging schedule
- Checks and evaluates the Payment Schedule
- Conduct variance analysis
- Develop and implement accounting procedures, policies, and concepts.
- Assign duties and oversee employees to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Produce financial reports or statements by analyzing accounting data.
- Accounts payable and payment vouchers are reviewed.
- Performs additional tasks as given from time to time.
- Creates and audits trial balances and financial statements.
- Coordination and completion of yearly audits
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Preferably a Certified Public Accountant
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, especially Excel, and knowledge of accounting software and databases
- Experience with or knowledge of real estate management (Required)
- Accounting experience in property management
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of information
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A positive attitude and a professional demeanor
- Project Management skills a plus
