JOB OVERVIEW

CTI Engineering International Co., Ltd. urgently seeks a dedicated Accounting Tac Compliance Officer. The successful candidates will be responsible for the following:

Qualifications:
1. Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or related field (CPA) or relevant certification is an advantage
2. Experience: At least 7 years of working experience in the related field or position in the Civil Works Sector or Service-related sector such as Management Consulting, Engineering, Government or Private Projects.
3. Expertise: Handling LOA cases and audit assessment by BIR, Preparing and Analyzing audit response documents, Familiarity with the BIR, SSS, DOF, SEC, and DOLE compliance.
4. Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, SAP, or similar accounting systems.
5. Soft skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, team management, and attention to detail.
6. Team management: Experience in leading a team of at least two members and deadline-oriented.
7. Character: Strong moral integrity, professionalism, and adherence to office etiquette.

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Set up an Accounting and Tax Compliance system in the Representative, Branch, and Project offices after a thorough study of the nature of business of the company and its transactions with the government agencies such as DPWH, DENR, MMDA, LGU's and private sector.
2. Familiarize oneself with the financial aspects of the different contracts of the projects and its funding institutions like ADB, JICA, World Bank.
3. Ensure compliance to BIR's tax mapping requirements.
4. Checks and reviews the accounting and tax compliance activities of all projects (Official Development Assistance, Public and Private) in the country ensuring that they follow BIR, SEC, and DOLE regulations.
5. Regularly meet with the project accounting officers to discuss and find solutions to issues and concerns arising from project business transactions.
6. Ensures timely filing and payment of all corporate monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns and supporting schedules and alpha lists/reliefs which include, among others, Value Added Tax, Withholding tax, Income tax, Final tax, DST and other returns that arise during business.
7. Handles BIR examinations and other cases that may arise in the course of BIR reviews and evaluations of submitted and filed documents.
8. Leads the Accounting Group in the Branch Office in presenting books, financial documents, etc. during the annual audit of financial statements by the Headquarter Management Team from Tokyo.
9. Handles accounting and tax queries from Project Managers and Tokyo HQ regarding tax treatments and impacts of changes in tax policies to projects, Representative, Branch, and Subsidiary Offices in the Philippines.
10. Responsible for the response to the letter of notices from BIR, DOLE, SEC, etc.
11. Reviews tax accounts and proposes entries to correct balances of tax accounts.
12. Coordinates with the Corporate Secretary and Company lawyers for legal compliance if needed.
13. Reports directly to the Chief Managing Director of the Branch and Liaison Offices.
