Job Title: Accountant (Property Management)
Location: Flexible (Work in New Zealand Hours)

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our growing property management team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions that directly support the success of our property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collecting deposits and bonds, ensuring smooth tenant and landlord transactions.
- Calculating rents, processing rental payments, and updating our property management system.
- Entering and managing invoices, tracking accounts payable and receivable.
- Paying creditors and landlords in a timely manner.
- Administering payroll and performing necessary reconciliations.
- Reconciliation of receipts, trading accounts, and performing other general accounting duties as required.
- Contributing to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

- Comfortable with accounting software and technology (e.g., Xero, Office 365, Teams, Slack, Notion, Loom, etc.)
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Previous experience in property management accounting is a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to manage significant sums of money accurately (e.g., rent payments, bonds, payroll).
- Ability to follow processes to maintain precision and minimize errors.
- Self-motivated with strong accountability for your own work and performance.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift quickly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent
- open to studying New Zealand Chartered Accountancy qualification (CA)
- Previous experience in property management or a similar accounting environment is a plus.
