Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of our auto body shop. The ideal candidate will be experienced with Quickbooks Online, payroll processing, tax compliance, and financial reporting. This role is crucial for maintaining financial health and supporting business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
- Payroll Processing: Manage and execute payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all employees.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, providing variance analyses and financial projections.
- Audit Support: Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and readily available.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of Accounting experience, preferably within the auto repair or related industry.
- Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other relevant accounting software.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Time Management: Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
