Job Title: Accountant – Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Inventory Management

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our team in the warehousing and logistics industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), maintaining accurate inventory records, and preparing reports for management and clients. Experience with QuickBooks and a strong understanding of accounting practices are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable (AR):

Generate, review, and distribute client invoices promptly and accurately.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely payments.
Reconcile AR accounts and resolve discrepancies with clients.
Accounts Payable (AP):

Categorize and record expenses accurately.
Process vendor invoices and ensure payments are made on time.
Reconcile AP accounts and address any payment or invoice issues with vendors.
Inventory Management:

Maintain and update inventory records, ensuring accuracy in quantities and costs.
Work closely with the warehouse team to verify inventory levels and resolve discrepancies.
Track inventory usage and report on trends or inefficiencies.
Reporting:

Prepare detailed financial reports for management and clients, including AR and AP summaries, inventory valuations, and profitability analyses.
Generate periodic and ad-hoc reports to provide insights and support decision-making.
Compliance and Record-Keeping:

Ensure all financial transactions adhere to company policies and accounting standards.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for audits and compliance checks.
Systems and Process Improvement:

Utilize QuickBooks for financial management and reporting.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the efficiency of accounting operations.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required with equivalent experience).
Proven experience as an accountant in a service-based business, preferably in warehousing, logistics, or a similar industry.
Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
Strong knowledge of AR, AP, inventory management, and financial reporting principles.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with logistics or warehousing accounting practices.
Familiarity with inventory management software or ERP systems.
