EIG Property Management is based in Minneapolis, MN. We manage 1,400 apartment rental units in the Twin Cities. We are seeking a full-time remote Accountant to join our great team! As Accountant, you will work closely with our other tea

Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day property management tasks
- Review employee timesheets for accuracy, compliance with company standards, and timely processing.
- Assist in managing insurance policies and renewals for all properties, including vendor communication and compliance tracking.
- Perform highly accurate data entry, maintaining meticulous records across various company platforms and systems.
- Ability to Input, analyze, and interpret basic accounting data to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Collaborate on the preparation and refinement of quarterly investor reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Lead select financial validation and key performance indicator (KPI) projects to ensure data integrity and financial accuracy.
- Manage and process vendor invoices and payments, adhering to company policies and approval workflows.
- Assist in compiling necessary documents and materials for annual tax return preparations.
- Contribute thoughts and ideas toward the improvement of Company policies and practices
- Assist in programs/tasks that track & manage our data for for accuracy
- Assist in the development of our quarterly investor reports
- Assist in maintaining compliance records for properties, including inspections, licensing renewals, and adherence to 4D program requirements.
-Create presentations and Google Slides for internal meetings, such as all-hands gatherings, to communicate updates on programs and initiatives.
- Contribute to and sometimes lead special projects aimed at improving financial processes, operational efficiencies, or company performance.
-Assist in training new staff on company financial processes and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.

Job Requirements
- Excellent English speaking and writing ability.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Technology Requirements: strong consistent internet and electricity, 2 screens, 10-key on your keyboard, headset.
- As this is a work-from-home setup, you must have a quiet working environment anytime you are clocked in for work.
- US Central Time hours as scheduled, generally an 8-10 hour day Monday to Friday between 7AM and 5PM, or a general expectation that you will fulfill some work duties on the weekend occasionally.
Qualifications:
- 4-year university degree
- Preferred previous experience in property management and/or admin / accounting
- Preferred experience with Google Workspace, particularly with Google Sheets and/or MS Excel,
- Experience with accounting software
- Experience with property management software preferred
