Virtual Assistant (VA) – Social Media & Content Creation Specialist for an Australian Company

Working Hours: Full-time, 8 hours a day (Australian Eastern Standard Time - AEST)

Our brands are dedicated to providing high-quality camping products and services that enhance the outdoor experience for adventurers across Australia. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a creative, proactive, and reliable Virtual Assistant to join our team on a long-term basis to help elevate our digital presence and connect with our ever-expanding community.

Job Overview:
As a Virtual Assistant, you’ll play a key role in managing and executing organic and paid social media strategies for our two brands. You’ll be responsible for creating high-quality content across various social media platforms, running ad campaigns, and supporting the team with photography and videography. This is a long-term, full-time role with a focus on growing and promoting both brands within the Australian camping industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Management & Organic Content Creation:

Develop and schedule engaging content (posts, stories, reels, etc.) for both brands across all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
Create content calendars, ensuring consistency and timely engagement with our audience
Actively monitor and respond to comments, messages, and direct inquiries, fostering a positive community
Implement strategies to grow followers, drive engagement, and maintain a strong brand presence
Stay on top of social media trends, particularly in the outdoor and camping sectors, to keep the content fresh and relevant

Facebook
Ads Management:

Create, manage, and optimize Facebook Ads campaigns for both brands, targeting specific camping enthusiasts, outdoor adventurers, and relevant communities
Analyze ad performance, adjust strategies, and implement A/B testing to maximize ROI
Monitor and adjust budgets, creatives, and audience targeting to ensure effective ad campaigns
Google Ads Management:

Create, manage, and optimize Google Ads campaigns (Search, Display, YouTube) for both brands, driving relevant traffic and conversions
Conduct keyword research specific to the camping industry and refine campaigns based on performance analytics
Provide regular reports on the success of campaigns and suggest areas for improvement
Photography & Videography:

Capture stunning, high-quality photos and videos for social media, product promotions, and website content
Edit and produce engaging video content, including product showcases, tutorials, behind-the-scenes, and customer testimonials
Develop visually appealing graphics and media for posts, ads, and stories, ensuring consistency with each brand's voice and identity
Content Creation & Branding:

Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and develop new content ideas that resonate with the camping and outdoor adventure community
Design social media posts and campaigns that align with our brand's values and messaging, highlighting our products in authentic, relatable ways
Edit and enhance media using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and other content creation software
Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing, ideally within the outdoor, camping, or lifestyle industry
Strong proficiency with Facebook Ads Manager and Google Ads
Experience with content creation tools (Canva, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
Knowledge of social media best practices and trends, especially in the camping, adventure, and outdoor spaces
Strong photography and videography skills, including editing and post-production
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Creative, detail-oriented, and highly organized
Experience with analytics tools (Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, etc.) to track performance
Ability to work within AEST time zone and align with the team’s schedules
Preferred:

Experience in the outdoor, camping, or adventure product industry
Familiarity with other advertising platforms (TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.)
Basic knowledge of SEO best practices
