Position Summary:
As an Intermediate Accountant, you'll be an integral part of our team, providing high-quality accounting and tax services to our clients. You will prepare financial statements, manage tax returns, and ensure compliance with regulations, all while collaborating closely with clients and colleagues. If you have a strong understanding of Australian accounting principles and a knack for problem-solving, wed love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Process annual financial statements for companies and trusts.
Prepare income tax returns and Business Activity Statements (BAS).
Assist with payroll services.
Contribute to tax planning figures and analysis.
Manage ATO client correspondence and queries.
Stay up-to-date on tax law changes and conduct tax research.
Collaborate with tea
Enhance accounting processes and systems to boost efficiency and accuracy.
Participate in professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Australian public accounting, with a focus on tax preparation and financial statement preparation.
Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong client service orientation and interpersonal skills.
