Job Title: Property Accounting Virtual Assistant

Location/Schedule: Flexible, remote work schedule.
Are you an experienced Accounting Virtual Assistant with a strong background in real estate and fund accounting? Do you have hands-on experience with AppFolio and the ability to provide clear insights into financial statements? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
About Us: Since 2012, FJ De La Cruz Investments has been committed to investing in multifamily, land development, and residential projects across California, focusing on the Bay Area, Central California, and Northern California. With over 200 units under management, we are continuously expanding our portfolio.
Currently, we own 6 Multi-Family Apartments, and 1 Single Family Residential.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage financials for multiple LLCs, including but not limited to:
-FJ DeLa Cruz Investments
-Skylark Apartments
-Will Rogers Apartments
-Evergreen Apartments
-King City Apartments
-Redwood Gardens Apartment
-Barcelona Apartments
-Caste Court LLC
Conduct bank reconciliations for all entities, including:
-Bank of America
-WAFD
-Credit cards (Bank of America, Home Depot and Chase)
Record and manage rent roll activities.
Reconcile payroll for bi-weekly and monthly schedules.
Post journal entries in AppFolio.
Accurately code company credit card and checking account transactions.
Process payments for reimbursements and management fees.
Prepare monthly financial reports.
Assist with any tasks related to the company’s financial operations.
Provide support in analyzing and addressing daily financial questions.
Attend weekly virtual meetings to discuss tasks, updates, and address questions.
Assist property managers in move-in/move out process in Appfolio or any concerns they may have.
Requirements:
-Proven experience in real estate accounting and fund management.
-Proficiency in AppFolio software.
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly.
-Reliable internet connection and availability for weekly virtual meetings.
-Must be available anytime to answer daily questions about finances.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience working with multiple LLCs or investment portfolios.
-Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes for multiple accounts.
-CPA certification or equivalent is a plus but not required.
