TypeScript Backend/Cloud Engineer

NOQX Software is on a mission to create clarity and enable execution for millions of people in businesses. We are a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) startup company located in Stockholm, Sweden. We are now recruiting a senior backend engineer in the Philippines to join our small international engineering team.


ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have significant AWS experience and used to working with Infrastructure as Code in any of the common technologies such as CloudFormation, Terraform or CDK. And a strong command of software architecture, programming and experience working in Node.JS. You are highly motivated with an attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision. You are also used to working together with other developers in a virtual team setup. You love challenges and you are a fast learner. Excellent English and communication skills required.


You have a reliable Internet connection and source of power, a computer setup and most likely you have a dedicated workspace at home.


It is preferable if you live in the Philippines since that's where other members of the development team is located and it's easier to keep the team together in the same time zone, same culture and same holiday schedule.


ABOUT THE POSITION
The focus will be on backend programming in the AWS Serverless domain and you will work together with UX-designers and frontend developers to back you up. But depending on knowledge and interest you could be taking part in frontend programming as well. You will be working in a distributed team with colleagues located in the Philippines and Sweden.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive architecture and implementation for the core backend services that will power the content on new devices
Implement code focused on high availability and reliability. Working with serverless infrastructure as code.


REQUIRED SKILLS
5+ years of programming experience in Node.JS ecosystem
Experience in TypeScript
Experience in AWS IaC technology
Excellent communication skills
Team player

Experience in AWS DynamoDB/Lambda/S3/Cognito
Experience in AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) IaC
Experience with Websockets and real time applications
Experience in frontend development using React
