Finance & Accounting Specialist

Overview:
We are seeking a Finance & Accounting Specialist to manage our day-to-day bookkeeping while providing critical financial insights to improve cash flow, refine our Chart of Accounts, and help us make better business decisions. This role goes beyond basic bookkeeping— we need someone who can interpret financial data, identify trends, and proactively suggest improvements.

You should be highly proficient in QuickBooks and have strong experience in financial reporting, cash flow projections, and account reconciliations. Experience with Zoho Books is a plus but not required.

What You’ll Do:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping (record transactions, reconcile accounts, manage AP/AR, and handle payroll).
- Generate, review, and explain financial statements to provide clear insights into business performance.
- Conduct cash flow analysis and forecasting to help with strategic planning.
- Assess and refine our Chart of Accounts to ensure it aligns with our evolving business model.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities in financial data and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. tax and reporting requirements (Federal, State, and City).
- Work closely with leadership and external accountants to support financial decision-making.

What We’re Looking For:

- 4+ years of bookkeeping & financial analysis experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (must have); Zoho Books experience is a plus.
- Strong financial reporting and cash flow analysis skills.
- Ability to interpret and explain financial statements, not just prepare them.
- Experience refining Chart of Accounts for better financial tracking.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in problem-solving.
