SEO Specialist & Content Writer Wanted for Ecommerce Businesses - Long-term Position

We’re hiring a part-time SEO specialist and copywriter for two growing small businesses. Preference will be given to candidates who possess both skills and experience, but those who specialize in one or the other may still Upgrade to see actual infoO Specialist
Your main responsibility will be planning, implementing and managing the company's overall SEO strategy and will cover web marketing, web analytics, content strategy planning, link building, and keyword strategy.

Responsibilities include:
- Plan, develop and implement our SEO strategy
- Work towards organic search optimization and ROI maximization
- Regularly perform thorough keyword research
- Monitor redirects, click rate, bounce rate, and other KPIs
- Prepare and present reports regularly
- Identify our buyer persona to better target identified audiences
- Implement link building strategies and manage backlinks to build online authority
- Work with social media and PPC teams to optimize campaigns
- Stay up to date with the latest SEO and digital marketing trends and best practices
- Perform competitive analysis and identify gaps in our content or areas of improvement in our web design
- Update older content and add effective calls to action (CTAs) to improve user engagement

Content Writer
Your main responsibility will be to write informative and engaging articles to deliver our message and showcase our products. Ultimately, you’ll deliver quality writing pieces from blog posts to press releases that appeal to our audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness.

Responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough research on industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies),
- Help generate ideas for new content types
- Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
- Prepare well-structured drafts and submit work to editors for input and approval
- Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
- Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines
- Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
- Contribute to long-form content projects such as ebooks

REQUIREMENTS:

- 3+ years of ecommerce digital marketing experience
- Deep knowledge and experience of seo and content writing
- Portfolio that showcases samples of work
- Deep knowledge and experience with Wordpress / Woocommerce and preferably Shopify as well
