Video Editor

We’re looking for an experienced video editor who can do advanced and clean edits to our ongoing videos and take our YouTube channel to the next level.

We’re a digital marketing training company looking for a rockstar video editor with great experience. YouTube is a huge part of our business and we’re looking to ramp up our channel content with vlog and tutorial-style videos that look chic, modern, and clean.

Our membership sites, The Business Lounge + StartupU, have over 600 videos and we produce new ones weekly that require editing. We also like to publish social media content from these repurposed videos and we’re looking for a highly-skilled candidate who can assess our video style and uplevel our content with high-end editing skills.

We have enough full-time work right now to keep you busy, but the position will start at 20 hrs per week, depending on how well you perform we’ll be increasing work hours to 40 hrs per week.

The next video editor to join our team needs to be an experienced, talented, and proficient editor who can really capture the essence of our brand and turn our footage into creative video content for both YouTube and Facebook.

A full portfolio is required at the time of application, so get ready to show us your best stuff.

You will be responsible for the following:
- Collaborate with other teaUpgrade to see actual infombers to produce and promote our video material.
- Understand the basics of YouTube video marketing.
- Editing our weekly YouTube episodes.
- Repurposing videos into social media posts.
- Create engaging story videos for IG.
- Edit down Live Stream video material and turn it into a polished video.
- Edit video marketing content & give it a professional, clean feel.
- Overlay graphics and text onto tutorial and educational videos.
- Show initiative and propose new ideas to reach a bigger audience with our videos.
- Create new intros + outros for our YouTube channel.
- Great communication skills and proficiency in English.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Video Editing
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro or Adobe After Effects
Basic Knowledge in Branding and Media Aesthetics (a.k.a. Knowing how to make videos look good).
Basic Color Grading.
Excellent Written & Oral Skills In English.
Excellent Communication Skills
We will provide a PAID test where you will be given several video editing assignments to test your skills.
Must be FAST, effective, and have previous experience EDITING! You must be able to add music, text, and make my videos look professional.
