3D Model Designer for Kids' Toys (3D Printing Specialist)

We are seeking a creative and talented 3D Model Designer to design models optimized for 3D printing. You will focus on creating unique, fun, and trend-aware designs for children's toys, including cookie cutters, trays, stamps, dice towers, sensory toys, and Play-Doh rollers. You must have a keen eye for detail, an understanding of 3D printing limitations such as overhangs, and the ability to design models ready for print. This role requires continuous innovation and seasonal creativity to develop new collections for events like Valentine’s Day, Christmas, and Easter.

Key Responsibilities:
3D Model Design:
Design 3D models optimized for 3D printing, considering factors such as overhangs, printability, and durability.
Create STL files that are clean, watertight, and ready for 3D printing.

Creative Product Development:
Develop new and exciting toy concepts, keeping up with children’s trends while avoiding copyright infringement.
Regularly brainstorm and produce seasonal collections for holidays and special occasions.

Trend Awareness:
Stay updated on children’s trends, ensuring designs appeal to the target market.

Collaboration and Feedback:
Work with the team to refine and perfect designs based on feedback.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure the models print successfully.

Documentation and Organization:
Maintain a library of STL files and ensure proper categorization for easy access.

Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience in 3D modeling, with a strong portfolio of models optimized for 3D printing.
Software Proficiency: Expertise in 3D modeling software
Knowledge of 3D Printing: Deep understanding of 3D printing principles, including overhangs, layer adhesion, and material properties.
Creativity: Strong creative skills and the ability to develop innovative designs for kids’ toys.
Trend Awareness: Ability to research and adapt to trends in children’s toys while adhering to copyright regulations.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration and presenting ideas.
