Remote Cantonese - English Bilingual Interpreter

This is a Remote Position for applicants based in the Philippines ONLY!

TransPerfect Connect (TPC) is looking for Cantonese bilinguals at all levels with demonstrated experience utilizing their bilingual skills in a professional setting.

Candidates must be fluent in Cantonese-English and aspire to be fantastic advocates for our end clients, utilizing their newly learned talents to deliver superior consecutive interpretations. So, whether you’re helping a patient communicate with their doctor or assisting a family in securing a loan with a bank, we want someone excited about using their language abilities to help others.

Interpreter is responsible for providing consecutive interpretation services Over-The-Phone remotely, as well as Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) services, which involve interpreting over a video call, enabling interpreters to assist clients in real-time without being physically present.

Qualifications

- Holds a Senior High School Diploma or High School Diploma
- Demonstrates experience in working from home
- Exhibits professional proficiency in English and Cantonese (speaking, listening, and reading) at an above-average level
- Capable of meeting all language and technical requirements
- Brings bilingual customer service experience
- Must be a Filipino citizen or possess a valid work permit for non-Filipinos
- Must have all required tools for remote work

A Windows or Mac computer (8GB RAM or higher) With a min 2GHz processor and a relatively new CPU
Wired headset (not a wireless headset)
Broadband direct Modem cable connection (high-speed Internet connection)
At least Windows 10 or OS X Yosemite
A quiet workspace/home office with no distractions
Functioning Webcam
