Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting Internet Connections: Diagnose and repair issues with both wired and wireless internet connectivity, including VPNs, from a remote setting.
- Phone System Support: Remotely manage, configure, and resolve issues with VoIP systems to ensure clear communication across the company.
- Printer Maintenance and Setup: Guide users through printer maintenance, troubleshooting, and setup via remote tools.
Assist in the setup of network printers for office use from afar.
- Network Configuration: Remotely monitor network performance, make necessary adjustments to network settings, and manage security devices like routers and firewalls.
- Remote Printing Solutions: Implement and troubleshoot remote printing options to ensure staff can print from any location securely.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of all configurations, issues encountered, and solutions implemented, to be shared remotely.
- User Support: Provide remote technical support to employees, helping with inquiries and teaching basic IT self-help skills through digital means.
- Security: Ensure all remote network activities adhere to security policies to safeguard company data.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in IT support, particularly with remote network and hardware issues.
- Experience managing network settings and configurations across multiple locations remotely.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications are a plus.
- Must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup for remote work.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, essential for remote work.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments.
