Strategic Reporting Manager
Reports to: Director of Global Operations
Location: Remote
Compensation: $12 - $15 per hour
Schedule: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm EST
Hours per week: 40 hours

Position Overview
The Head of Data Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic reporting initiatives, ensuring cross-departmental data alignment, and leading the company's data team with precision and clarity. This position is critical to our organization's data-driven decision-making framework and requires a highly analytical, detail-oriented leader with a proven track record of managing data teams and delivering impactful insights to executive stakeholders.

This role demands advanced proficiency in Power BI (2019 or newer), Excel (advanced formulas and modeling), SQL (intermediate to advanced querying), and other reporting tools, along with a comprehensive understanding of operational metrics, team performance analytics, and reporting automation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills, executive presence, and meticulous attention to inconsistencies or inefficiencies in data reporting systems.

Team Structure
- Direct management of a data team consisting of 5-10 analysts/specialists
- Strategic partnership with Sales Operations, Leads team, and Strategic Marketing teams
- Regular interaction with C-suite and director-level executives

Key Responsibilities:

Executive Reporting & Strategic Analysis
- Prepare and deliver high-level reports for the Director of Global Operations and executive leadership on weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadences
- Provide real-time insights and performance updates to support critical business decisions
- Present clear, concise business intelligence using tools like Power BI and Excel, with emphasis on actionable insights
- Design and implement executive dashboards that align with organizational KPIs and strategic objectives

Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Serve as the central liaison between the Data Team and key marketing agency teams (Sales Operations, Leads team, and Strategic team) to ensure alignment on reporting needs and timelines
- Lead twice-weekly cross-functional data alignment meetings with the strategic team
- Understand campaign performance metrics and marketing operations nuances before recommending data-driven action plans
- Establish data governance protocols that ensure consistency across agency reporting

Data Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the Data Team with a focus on output quality, timeliness, and team accountability
- Set clear goals, SOPs, and audit mechanisms to monitor team performance
- Implement action plans and provide structured feedback loops for continuous improvement
- Conduct regular 1:1s with teaUpgrade to see actual infombers and quarterly performance reviews

Performance & Operational Dashboards
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards using Power BI to track key performance indicators
- Oversee weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational priorities
- Ensure all reports meet high standards of clarity and relevance for leadership review
- Implement automated data refresh and distribution protocols

Audit, Accuracy & Data Integrity
- Conduct regular audits to maintain the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all reports
- Identify and resolve reporting errors and gaps in data collection or communication flow
- Ensure documentation and archiving of all reports and updates for reference and compliance
- Establish data quality standards and monitoring processes

Qualifications:

Required Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in a data leadership or managerial role, overseeing reporting teams or analysts
- Proven experience collaborating with executive-level leadership
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboard design)
- Strong SQL skills (complex joins, stored procedures, optimization)
- Advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX?MATCH, Power Query)
- Strong background in operational reporting, performance analytics, and organizational metrics
- Experience implementing data governance frameworks

- Experience with people analytics, sales reporting, or cross-functional data projects
- Understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of Python, R, or other scripting languages for advanced analytics

Non-Negotiables
- Must have experience leading a data team of 5+ members
- Must be able to convert insights into actionable business recommendations
- Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to speak up when gaps or misalignments are identified
- Must demonstrate proficiency in structured report development and visualization via Power BI
