Full-Time YouTube Video Editor Wanted (REMOTE) | Canadian Media Company

We are a Canadian media company that manages multiple YouTube channels and we're looking for a full-time video editor based in the Philippines to create high-quality YouTube videos and thumbnails. This is a long-term remote position for someone who’s creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about online content.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for editing 3–4 YouTube videos per week, including Shorts and thumbnails, using a mix of traditional and AI-based tools. The ideal candidate is fluent in modern editing styles, understands YouTube trends, and communicates well in English.


Responsibilities:
- Edit and deliver 3–4 engaging YouTube videos per week (long-form and Shorts)
- Help custom thumbnails that match trending visual styles
- Apply motion graphics, visual effects, and sound design to enhance storytelling
- Use AI tools to speed up and streamline editing workflows
- Communicate regularly and meet weekly deadlines without follow-up


Required Technical Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- Experience with basic motion graphics and animation tools (e.g., After Effects, Blender)
- Strong understanding of sound design, foley, and audio cleanup
- Proficient in designing thumbnails using Photoshop or Canva


Soft Skills:
- Communicates clearly in English (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Eager to learn and adapt to new tools or strategies
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Open to constructive feedback and fast iterations


Basic Skills:
- Reliable internet connection with backup
- Familiar with file management and YouTube Studio basics
- Organized and consistent in following a content workflow


Desired Technical Skills (Bonus):
- Experience editing storytelling or vlog-style content
- Familiarity with 3D character animation
- Use of AI tools such as Runway ML, Midjourney, ChatGPT, or similar


Work Schedule and Holidays:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week (flexible hours, deliverables-based)
- Paid Philippine holidays after 3 months
- Weekly deliverables expected without daily check-ins

Compensation:
- $550 USD per month starting
- Paid weekly via Remitly, PayPal, or Wise
- Once you complete your 6 months probation, you will get 13th month
