Job Overview

We are seeking a Crypto Accountant to join our dedicated team and contribute to the precise and compliant financial management of cryptocurrency transactions. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in tax accounting principles, a deep understanding of cryptocurrency, and a proven ability to navigate the complexities of crypto financial reporting. Additionally, proficiency in traditional ERP systems like QuickBooks and Xero is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management: Assist in the accurate recording, tracking, and management of cryptocurrency transactions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Tax Reporting: Collaborate with the tax department to prepare detailed crypto tax reports and financial statements, maintaining accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
Sub-ledger Maintenance: Utilize crypto sub-ledgers such as Bitwave, Integral, Cryptoworth, & Cryptio as well as integrate with traditional ERP systems like QuickBooks and Xero, to maintain precise transaction records and monitor discrepancies.
Blockchain Expertise: Apply your knowledge of blockchain technology to address financial reconciliation challenges unique to the crypto industry.
Data Analysis: Analyze transaction data to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and potential issues, providing insights and recommendations for resolution.
Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and recommend process improvements, leveraging the latest technologies and best practices in crypto accounting.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of financial transactions, including integration with traditional ERP systems.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree or further specialization in blockchain technology is a plus.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in tax accounting, with exposure to cryptocurrency financial management.
Experience with crypto sub-ledgers, such as BitQuery, Quadency, and Blox, as well as proficiency in traditional ERP systems like QuickBooks and Xero, is highly valued.
Comprehensive understanding of blockchain technology and its impact on financial reconciliation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and effectively.
