JOB OVERVIEW

Structura Builders, a dynamic and growing construction company based in San Diego, CA, is seeking a dedicated and organized Bid Coordinator to support our business development and estimating teams. The Bid Coordinator will play a crucial role in identifying job opportunities, organizing bid processes, and supporting estimators to ensure timely and competitive submissions.

Key Responsibilities:
Business Development Support:

Research and identify new project and contract opportunities through various platforms such as Upgrade to see actual info, AGC Plan Room, and other industry resources.

Track and analyze bid opportunities to optimize business development efforts.

Bid Coordination:

Organize and maintain the company bid calendar, ensuring deadlines and requirements are met.

Assist estimators by obtaining subcontractor quotes during the bidding process.

Prepare and submit complete bid packages, including requesting bid bonds when required.

Ensure all bids are reviewed, approved by management, and accurately submitted on time.

Documentation Management:

Organize and maintain all estimating and project plan folders for efficient accessibility.

Maintain up-to-date records of company resumes, references, and past project details.

Track and complete prequalification packages, including managing renewal dates.

Oversee company certification renewals, such as DBE, SBE, and WOSB.

Reporting and Metrics:

Monitor and report on bid performance metrics, including bids submitted and jobs won.

Assist in creating proposal packages tailored to project requirements.

Growth and Development:

Collaborate with the marketing team to support social media, networking, and business development initiatives.

Potential for professional growth into marketing and client outreach efforts.


Qualifications:
Prior experience in bid coordination, construction estimating, or related roles preferred.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with bid management software is a plus.

Familiarity with industry platforms like Upgrade to see actual info, AGC Plan Room, and relevant databases.

Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
