Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Virtual Medical Scribe to join our team. This role involves accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time for Internal Medicine, Family Practice, and Primary Care providers. The ideal candidate will work closely with healthcare providers to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Document patient history, physical exams, assessments, treatment plans, and other relevant information during real-time patient encounters.
• Manage and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately and promptly.
• Ensure all documentation meets HIPAA compliance and quality standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve documentation efficiency and accuracy.
• Review and complete documentation within established timelines.
Requirements:
• Typing Speed: Must type at least 80 words per minute (WPM) with high accuracy.
• Medical Background Preferred: Medical training, certification, or relevant experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• U.S. Experience: Verifiable experience as a medical scribe within the United States is required.
• EHR Proficiency: Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, etc.).
• Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with healthcare providers and follow instructions accurately.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional listening and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• HIPAA Compliance: Must maintain confidentiality and follow all HIPAA regulations.
• Availability: Flexible schedule with the ability to work various shifts as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification as a Medical Scribe or Medical Assistant.
• Experience in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Primary Care settings.
• Prior remote scribe experience.
Compensation: $5/hour
