Hospice QA

Position Summary:

The Hospice QA Nurse plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards. This position focuses on auditing clinical documentation, identifying areas of improvement, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to maintain and elevate the quality of hospice care delivered. This role requires a strong background in hospice and a solid understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in end-of-life care.

Key Responsibilities:
-Review and audit clinical records to ensure compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation, state regulations, and internal policies.
-Monitor documentation for accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and consistency.
-Provide feedback and training to clinical staff on quality improvement and documentation best practices.
-Participate in the development and implementation of the agency’s Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
-Assist in preparing for surveys and audits from regulatory bodies.
-Track trends and create reports to identify potential areas of concern or improvement.
-Collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to implement corrective action plans.
-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hospice regulations and industry changes.

Qualifications:
-RN license from the Philippines.
-Minimum 2 years of recent hospice experience required.
-Previous experience in Quality Assurance or QAPI within a hospice setting strongly preferred.
-Strong knowledge of Medicare hospice regulations and documentation standards.
-Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
-Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
