About the Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled Shopify Theme Developer to build a custom, high-converting Shopify theme from scratch. This theme will compete with industry-leading themes like Debutify and Shrine Solutions, with a strong focus on speed and performance optimized for fast loading, conversion rate optimization with built-in sales-boosting features, and customization and flexibility for eCommerce store owners.

What You’ll Be Doing
You will develop a high-performance Shopify theme using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and JSON templates. The theme must be optimized for speed, mobile responsiveness, and seamless UX. You will implement built-in conversion-boosting features such as upsells, urgency timers, optimized cart, and a sticky add-to-cart function. The theme must be fully compatible with Shopify Online Store 2.0 features such as sections, app blocks, and metafields. You will integrate dynamic UI elements such as AI-powered recommendations, gamification elements, and trust badges. Customizable theme settings must allow merchants to make changes without needing to code. You will also be responsible for debugging and testing across browsers, devices, and Shopify apps.

What We’re Looking For
We need a Shopify expert with a proven track record of building Shopify themes from scratch. You should have expertise in Shopify Liquid, JSON templates, and Online Store 2.0. Strong frontend skills in JavaScript, CSS with frameworks like Tailwind or Bootstrap, and HTML are essential. You should be experienced in speed optimization techniques such as improving load times, implementing lazy loading, and optimizing Lighthouse scores. A deep understanding of mobile-first design principles is required to ensure an excellent shopping experience across all devices. You must be familiar with conversion rate optimization best practices, including eCommerce UX, trust signals, and checkout conversion tactics. Knowledge of Shopify API, metafields, and third-party app integration is also required. The ability to troubleshoot, debug, and work independently is critical.

Task: Build an Advanced High-Converting Shopify Theme Feature
Your task is to create a custom Shopify product page component that enhances conversions.

You need to implement a sticky add-to-cart bar with live pricing. As the user scrolls, a sticky buy now bar should appear at the top or bottom of the page displaying the product name, selected variant if applicable, updated price, and a buy now button. When clicked, this button should instantly take the user to checkout, bypassing the cart page for a faster purchase flow. The sticky bar should appear only after the user scrolls past the product image and should smoothly fade in.

You must also implement auto-generated customer reviews and trust badges. The review section should dynamically load randomized five-star reviews on each page refresh for testing purposes. The displayed reviews should include a customer name, star rating, verified purchase badge, and randomized review text from a preset selection. The trust badges should be dynamic based on user location, displaying relevant information such as fast shipping times tailored to the user’s country.
