Role Overview:
We are seeking an Accountant to manage financial reporting, cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, banking operations, compliance, and general accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate development or construction finance and be proficient in QuickBooks, and thrive in a remote work environment. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Prepare and manage quarterly financial reports for lenders/investors.
Compile and submit monthly financial reports for senior management.
Support ad-hoc financial reporting as required.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks.
Assist in GST filing and compliance reviews.
Ensure compliance with financial covenants in loan agreements.
Banking & Cash Flow Management
Manage bank accounts, ensuring proper reconciliation and fund flow tracking.
Oversee bank payments, ensuring timely disbursement and approvals.
Conduct daily bank reconciliations and maintain real-time financial tracking.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Handle accounts payable and ensure timely vendor payments.
Process utility payments for multiple properties and resolve any discrepancies.
Track and collect tenant payments and utility reimbursements.
Corporate & Administrative Support
Maintain company records and minutes book for compliance and governance.
Coordinate with external auditors, accountants, and tax consultants.
Support in financial planning and forecasting as required.
Act as a back-up to the Project Coordinator, as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
Accounting designation (or working towards it) is preferred.
3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in real estate development or construction.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and tax regulations.
Experience managing multi-entity financial structures and bank reconciliations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
