Aesthetic Wordpress Site Build with SQL DB

I would like to build a website that connects a sql database that contains a directory of businesses to feed a website. I would like the website to have a nice professional aesthetic with clean design. I would also like for it to rank on Google.

I will write the copy but I need to be advised on how to pump up the google rankings.

I also need an estimate for how long such a project would take once we begin to discuss what it will entail.

I am open to creative suggestions and the ideal candidate would:
- Have experience building wordpress sites connected to databases
- Be able to design a professional looking website
- Understand SEO and make the changes possible for optimizing search
- Be creative in suggestions for features of the website
