JOB OVERVIEW

Senior Accounting Officer (AU & PH Accounting)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper with expertise in both Australian and Philippine financial processes. The ideal candidate will handle financial transactions, ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations, and support financialreporting for businesses operating in both regions. This role requires proficiency in Xeroand a strong understanding of Australian and Philippine accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting & Financial Management:

Process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in all financial records.
Prepare journal entries and reconcile bank statements to resolve discrepancies.
Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
Ensure compliance with Australian GST & BAS requirements and Philippine BIR tax regulations (e.g., VAT, Withholding Tax, and other statutory filings).


Financial Reporting & Compliance

Generate and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance
sheets, and cash flow statements for both Australian and Philippine entities.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements for audits, budgets, and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and Philippine
Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
Stay updated on tax laws, financial policies, and regulatory requirements in both countries.


Collaboration & Process Improvement

Provide financial updates and insights to management.
Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g., tax consultants,
auditors, and regulatory agencies) to gather financial information.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations.




Preferred Experience and Qualifications:



Knowledgeable in Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and Philippine Financial
Reporting Standards (PFRS).
Proven experience as a Xero Bookkeeper, particularly with Australian financial processes.
Strong understanding of BAS preparation, GST, Superannuation, and Payroll tax in Australia.
Familiarity with Philippine taxation, BIR compliance, and payroll processing is must.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
Minimum 2+ years of experience working with Australia-based companies and
Philippine accounting exposure is a plus.

Laptop/Desktop: Processor: Intel i7 or higher, AMD Ryzen 7 or higher, RAM: 8GB or more, Storage: SSD with at least 512GB
Monitor: Dual monitors or ultra-wide monitors for multitasking.
Windows 10/11, macOS, or Linux (depending on preference and tools used).
Internet: Stable and fast broadband connection (at least 20 Mbps) to handle large uploads, downloads, and live streaming.


Salary: ?50,000 – ?60,000 (Depending on experience)
