Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant based in the Philippines to join our UK accounting team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of UK accounting standards and hands on experience in reviewing and preparing:
- Financial Statements
- Corporate Tax Returns
- VAT Returns
- Payroll
- P11Ds
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and reviewing the work of junior tea
Strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and prior experience working for a UK accounting firm are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review Work of Junior Accountants: Ensure the accuracy and quality of financial statements, VAT returns, corporate tax returns, and other accounting deliverables before submission.
- Corporate Tax & Compliance: Oversee the preparation and submission of UK corporate tax returns, VAT returns, and P11Ds while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Payroll Management: Supervise and review UK payroll processes, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing statutory accounts for UK limited companies in accordance with UK accounting standards.
- Team Management & Delegation: Work closely with junior bookkeepers providing guidance and constructive feedback while ensuring deadlines are met.
- Client Communication: Effectively liaise with UK clients regarding financial reports, tax matters, and compliance requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvements and implement best practices within the accounting workflow.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in a UK Accounting Firm: Strong understanding of UK accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Reviewing & Oversight Experience: Proven ability to review juniors work, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Tax & Compliance Expertise: In depth knowledge of UK corporate tax, VAT, P11Ds, and statutory accounts up until submission.
- Payroll Knowledge: Extensive experience managing UK payroll and HMRC compliance.
- Leadership & Team Delegation: Experience in supervising and mentoring accounting teams.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Xero and other UK accounting software.
- Detail Oriented & Analytical: High level of accuracy, problem solving ability, and analytical thinking.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong English language proficiency (written and verbal).
Desirable Skills:
- ACCA or equivalent qualification (preferred but not mandatory).
