Project Manager (Construction Estimator / Quantity Surveyor)

We are looking for a Project Manager with experience as Construction Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to oversee projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be responsible for communicating with contractors for cost estimation, budget control, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. . A key part of the role involves preparing tender documents, assessing tenders, and managing subcontractor payments. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Planswift or equivalent takeoff software and possess an understanding of cost planning, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for construction projects.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and contracts to provide accurate financial assessments.
- Monitor project costs, valuations, and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective delivery.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and prepare interim valuations.
- Use Planswift or equivalent software to carry out material takeoffs and cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, terms, and conditions.
- Prepare and submit final accounts, ensuring that all financial matters are resolved before project completion.
- Identify and mitigate risks in the financial and contractual aspects of projects.
- Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quantity surveying and tendering construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, methods, and financial management.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans to meet deadlines.


Stakeholder Communication & Risk Management
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to costs, contracts, and timelines.
- Prepare reports and lead project meetings.

Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience in project management within the construction industry.
Experience in cost estimation, quantity surveying, and budget management.
Proficiency in Planswift or other equivalent takeoff software.
Familiarity with construction contracts, procurement, and financial management.
Ability to lead project teams and manage multiple projects efficiently.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
