Job Description: Part-Time Accountant (Remote)

Position Overview:
Merritt Financial Services is seeking a highly skilled Part-Time Accountant to support our growing client base of coaches, consultants, and service professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, cash flow tracking, and compliance tasks such as BOI reporting, EIN applications, and business dissolutions.

This role is perfect for an accounting professional who values flexibility and enjoys working remotely while helping businesses optimize their financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Compliance & Business Filings
Prepare and file Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reports for compliance.
Assist with EIN applications and business entity setup.
Manage business dissolutions and other entity-related compliance tasks.
Bookkeeping & Reporting
Tax preparation (1040 and business returns)
Maintain accurate financial records, including transaction categorization and reconciliations.
Generate cash flow reports and track financial performance.
Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to provide data-driven insights.
Conduct cash flow tracking and forecasting to help clients maintain financial stability.
Additional Responsibilities
Assist with tax-related financial tasks and reporting as needed.
Ensure all financial records comply with regulatory standards.
Work closely with clients to explain financial data and optimize cash flow.
Identify areas for financial process improvements to enhance efficiency.
