POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Front-End Web Developer with a strong focus on WordPress to join our growing digital marketing agency. The ideal candidate will have a passion for clean, efficient code and be experienced in building responsive, user-friendly websites. You will work closely with our design, back-end, and content teams to bring websites to life for a variety of clients across multiple industries.

As a key member of our development team, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining WordPress websites, ensuring they are visually stunning, functionally robust, and optimized for performance. Pay range monthly: $2500 - $3000 USD
Location: Remote-Philippines (100% Work From Home)
Work Schedule: 8AM to 5PM CST
Employment Type: Independent Contractor (40 hours/week)
REQUIRED: Work samples/portfolio (attached to resume)

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain custom WordPress websites from scratch, utilizing themes, plugins, and custom code.
Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to translate designs into pixel-perfect, responsive websites.
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize websites for speed, performance, and scalability.
Implement and customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet client requirements.
Write clean, maintainable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code that aligns with best practices.
Maintain and update existing WordPress websites, including troubleshooting and bug fixing.
Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and trends, implementing improvements where relevant.
Work closely with project managers to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work within project scope.
Optimize websites for SEO and accessibility standards.
Perform quality assurance testing and make iterative improvements based on feedback.


MUST POSSESS:

-Strong understanding of user interface (UI) design principles, including visual hierarchy, typography, iconography, color theory, and white space utilization, with demonstrated ability to translate these principles into responsive web interfaces
-Experience creating wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe CS, Adobe XD, or Sketch), with a portfolio demonstrating the progression from initial design concepts to final implementation
-Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive design systems, including component libraries, style guides, and documentation that ensure consistency across web applications while maintaining scalability


Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience as a Front-End Developer, with a strong focus on WordPress.
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
Experience with PHP as it relates to WordPress development.
Familiarity with WordPress theme development, customization, and plugin integration.
Experience with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
Knowledge of SEO best practices and website performance optimization.
Experience with cross-browser testing and debugging tools.
Basic understanding of version control systems like Git.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch user experiences.

NICE TO HAVE:

Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
