What you’ll do:
Position Overview: As a Content Specialist, you will proactively identify, curate, and develop high-impact medico-legal content for MEDirect's digital marketing channels, reaching thousands of legal, medical, and insurance professionals nationwide. You’ll engage with our extensive network of medical specialists and key stakeholders to gather insights that establish MEDirect as Australia's leading medico-legal knowledge hub.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Research & Curation:
Proactively identify and curate high-impact medico-legal content from leading industry sources, legal databases, medical journals, and government agencies.
Conduct structured interviews with MEDirect’s network of experts – medical specialists, lawyers, and insurers – to uncover valuable insights and generate fresh content ideas.
Analyse medico-legal reports, case studies, and research to extract key insights and develop engaging content ideas.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Insights:
Collaborate with MEDirect leadership to brainstorm and refine content strategy and themes.
Design and implement stakeholder surveys to pinpoint content opportunities and address knowledge gaps within the medico-legal sector, especially targeting medical experts.
Present curated content concepts regularly for review and approval by MEDirect leadership and subject-matter experts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Coordination & Internal Communication:
Maintain a clear, organised content calendar and pipeline to ensure content ideas are systematically captured, prioritised, and ready for execution by the internal marketing team.
Collaborate closely with MEDirect’s marketing team to ensure they can effectively leverage curated content across digital campaigns and platforms.
Monitoring & Analysis:
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to the marketing team to optimise content for search (SEO) and audience engagement based on industry best practices.
Track content performance, analyse key metrics, and provide actionable feedback to refine future content strategy and maximise impact.
Who we’re looking for:
You have a background or experience in healthcare, medical services, insurance, legal, personal injury, or strong journalism skills with an interest in transitioning to the medico-legal field.
You are a highly effective researcher who can transform complex information into engaging and accessible content for a professional audience.
You possess excellent written and communication skills, with a demonstrable track record of creating compelling content, preferably in related sectors, and a portfolio to showcase your abilities.
You are highly organised, analytical, and adept at managing multiple projects efficiently and meeting deadlines.
Familiarity with content and digital marketing tools (HubSpot,
Required Skills & Attributes:
Exceptional writing, research, interviewing, and communication abilities.
Proven ability to translate complex medico-legal topics into clear, engaging, and accessible content for a professional audience.
Strong organisational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and a data-driven approach.
Ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously while consistently meeting deadlines.
Comfortable and confident collaborating with subject-matter experts and senior leadership.
Proficiency in digital content tools and platforms, a solid understanding of SEO principles for online content optimisation, or a keen interest in learning and applying SEO best practices.
