Freelance CAD Designer (Fusion 360 + 3D Printing)

Role Overview:
As a Freelance CAD Designer, you will be responsible for designing and refining 3D models using Autodesk Fusion 360. You’ll collaborate closely with our in-house engineers and product managers to produce functional and visually appealing models that are optimized for 3D printing. Your work will directly influence the success of product development cycles and help our clients bring their concepts to market.

Key Responsibilities:

Create, modify, and optimize 3D models in Fusion 360 for prototyping and production.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver design solutions.
Ensure designs are correctly prepared and set up for 3D printing, including support structures and material considerations.
Troubleshoot issues related to geometry, tolerances, and part fit/finish.
Stay up-to-date with best practices in additive manufacturing, emerging materials, and relevant CAD software updates.
Qualifications:

Proven experience using Autodesk Fusion 360 (portfolio or samples requested).
Hands-on 3D printing experience (FDM, SLA, or other additive manufacturing processes).
Strong understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.
Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, schematics, and product documentation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
