JOB OVERVIEW

Are you an organised, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy VA with an interest in film/video production? Propeller Head Films is looking for someone to assist the founder with day-to-day tasks, support business growth, and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

This role is part virtual assistant (primary), part operations support, part research—perfect for someone who thrives on organization, problem-solving, and creative thinking.

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Virtual Assistant & Admin Support (Primary Focus - Most Important)
- Manage emails, calendars, and scheduling—both business and personal.
- Organise digital files, notes, tasks, and workflows.
- Handle invoicing, quotes, and basic business admin.

2. Research & Operations Support (Secondary Tasks)
- Research visual references, software, equipment, and tools to support video production, post-production, and marketing.
- Assist with production logistics—finding shoot locations, sourcing crew/cast, and organizing shoot schedules.
- Coordinate post-production resources (e.g., templates, plugins, and editing assets).

3. Hands-On Production & Post (Future Growth Area)
- Support video editing, graphic design, and marketing tasks (if experienced/interested).
- Assist in creating pitch decks, marketing materials, or social content.

What You Need:

Strong VA skills—organised, proactive, tech-savvy, proficient with Google G-Suite.
- High attention to detail—read instructions carefully and always check work submitted.
- Project/task management skills—ability to stay organised with a high inflow of tasks, using tools like Slack to receive/discuss new work and Asana to manage effectively.
- Strong written communication skills—including use of ChatGPT to improve final outputs and generate ideas where necessary.
- Ability to learn quickly and navigate new software and tools.

Nice to Have (Or Willingness to Learn):
- Experience with video editing (DaVinci Resolve).
- Experience with graphic design (Canva, Adobe Suite).
- Experience with basic bookkeeping (Xero).

Work Details:
Hours: 3 days per week (24 hours), with the aim of scaling up to full time in the future.
Pay: 8,580 USD p.a., paid fortnightly (330 USD per fortnight). This is a full time equivalent of 14,300 USD p.a.
Schedule: 09:00-17:00 (UTC+8) Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Some flexibility is available for discussion if shortlisted.
