Major Responsibilities
• Answer and screen telephone calls in a courteous manner, and take messages for physician and other personnel.
• Maintain patient details by obtaining, and updating personal and insurance information in EMR
• Schedule appointments according to established policies and procedures.
• Make reminder calls to patients.
• File records in appropriate sections of patient charts and keeps patient charts in proper order.
• Perform other related duties as directed or assigned.
• Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance details and coordinate with other local office staff.

Requirements
• Prior experience working remotely for a medical office in the USA.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance practices.
• Proficiency working with EMR systems such as e-Clinical Works. Athena Health is highly preferred.
• Skill in handling incoming phone calls and triaging appropriately.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and interpersonal skills.
• Skill in gathering, interpreting, and reporting insurance information.
• Must have a reliable internet, headset, smartphone, and dual monitors for their PC or laptop.
