Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal with expertise in Intellectual Property (IP) Management and Enforcement to provide remote legal support. The ideal candidate will have experience managing IP matters in the UK, US, and China, as well as enforcing IP rights on online marketplaces such as Amazon, Walmart, eBay, AliExpress, and Alibaba. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of IP protection, and the ability to identify and take action against infringing listings.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research on IP laws and regulations in the UK, US, and China.
Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, contracts, and cease-and-desist letters.
Assist with IP case management, including maintaining trademark, patent, and copyright records.
Monitor and enforce IP rights on e-commerce marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, eBay, AliExpress, Alibaba) by searching for infringing listings and submitting takedown requests.
Prepare and file legal forms related to IP protection and enforcement.
Manage IP-related deadlines, renewals, and compliance requirements.
Communicate with clients, courts, and marketplace enforcement teams on behalf of attorneys.
Organize and maintain electronic and physical legal files.
Assist in preparing materials for IP disputes, hearings, and litigation.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal and ethical standards.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Intellectual Property Law, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant specializing in IP management and enforcement.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of trademark, patent, and copyright laws in the UK, US, and China.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
Experience with IP enforcement strategies and monitoring tools.
Familiarity with marketplace policies and takedown procedures (Amazon, Walmart, eBay, AliExpress, Alibaba).
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
Strong discretion and ability to handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification from an accredited paralegal program.
Experience in trademark enforcement, anti-counterfeiting, and brand protection.
Familiarity with e-filing systems and IP dispute resolution procedures.
