We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented photo editor to join our team and help us elevate our work to the next level. We handle the initial cull and basic edits, leaving the finer details and artistic touches to you.

Please note: This is a project-based, contract position, not a full-time role. We typically have 6-12 weddings per year, and while we strive for consistency, workflow will vary. This role is ideal for experienced editors seeking supplemental income and flexible work.

Compensation:

We offer competitive compensation for each project, starting at $100 for the initial wedding and increasing to $150 per wedding thereafter. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your portfolio with high-quality images and partner with a growing photography business. You will be allowed to use 'most' images for your portfolio.

Your edits must align seamlessly with our current look and feel, ensuring a cohesive final product across all our wedding galleries.

About the Role:

As our Wedding Photo Editor, you will play a crucial role in the post-production process, refining and enhancing our images to create breathtaking works of art, while adhering to our specific style guidelines. You will receive Lightroom Classic catalogs that have already undergone initial culling and basic edits via Imagen. Your primary focus will be on fine-tuning these edits, ensuring consistency with our style, and adding your artistic touch to make each photo truly shine.

Responsibilities:

- Style Adherence: Maintain consistent image style and aesthetic throughout all edited photos, matching the provided style guides and examples found at Upgrade to see actual infodia.
- Fine-Tuning Edits: Refine existing Imagen edits, including adjustments to exposure, contrast, color balance, and sharpness.
- Ensure accurate application of Imagen masks (e.g., skin, teeth) and correct any over-processing.
- Composition and Cropping: Optimize image composition using the rule of thirds and other aesthetic principles.
- Object Removal and Retouching: Utilize Photoshop and AI-powered tools to remove distracting elements such as signs, cables, power lines, vehicles, unwanted faces, and other clutter. Focus on creating clean and visually appealing images.
- Portrait Enhancement: Pay special attention to portrait retouching, ensuring natural-looking skin tones, softening blemishes, and enhancing features while maintaining the subject's unique character, all while adhering to our established style.
- Mention the word "Charmander" in the subject of your email/resume, otherwise you will not be considered for the position.
- Lightroom Organization: Organize Lightroom catalogs into scenes (e.g., Ceremony, Reception, Portraits) for efficient workflow.
- Exporting and Naming: Once edits are approved, export images using our designated naming system (details provided upon hiring).
- Collaboration: Work closely with us to understand our stylistic preferences and ensure consistent image quality.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in wedding photo editing and retouching.
- Proficiency in Lightroom Classic and Photoshop (must have your own licensed copies).
- Strong understanding of color correction, composition, and retouching techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful images.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to and maintain a specific photographic style, as showcased on Upgrade to see actual infodia.

- Experience with AI-powered editing tools like Topaz.
- Portfolio showcasing your wedding photography editing skills, especially demonstrating style matching.
