About the company: Offshore Virtual Assistants, a very respected Australian outsourcing company is looking for an experienced Finance and Admin Assistant to assist one of our clients.
Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Finance and Administration Assistant to support our client’s finance and operations team in a dynamic travel company.
This role involves assisting in the processing of bookings made by experienced Travel Consultants who operate under the Global Travel Network platform by receipting client payments, reconciling statements, setting up consultant reimbursements & supplier payments, and ensuring accurate documentation has been submitted for payment processing.
The ideal candidate will have experience with financial systems such as Xero and VTO invoicing (or similar), strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Part-time 20 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
Receipt client funds from bank statements and credit card settlements into the invoicing system (VTO - Virtual Travel Office)
Reconcile financial statements in Xero, including ticketing (weekly) and supplier commissions (1 per week on average).
Verify booking forms for correct attachments & set up, and return any requiring corrections.
Set up supplier payments (from data sent via booking forms) for authorisation and reflect payments in the VTO invoicing system.
Monitor a designated
Issue eTickets through the Air Tickets system (training can be provided)
Reply to consultant requests for information and/or logins with links from our internal database.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in the Travel Industry/issuing flight tickets is preferred.
Prior experience in accounts administration, bookkeeping, or finance-related roles.
Experience with financial systems such as Xero and VTO invoicing (or willingness to learn).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reconciliation and data entry.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with consultants and suppliers.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in the travel industry is highly desirable.
