We are a fast-growing e-commerce business in the fashion niche, selling across multiple international markets on Shopify. We are looking for an experienced Backend Operations Manager to lead and optimize our internal teams. This is a long-term opportunity for someone with a strong background in dropshipping, operations management, and strategic process optimization.
As a Backend Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and improving the efficiency of our Customer Service Team, Disputes Team, and Supply Chain Team. You will play a crucial role in building workflows, optimizing funnels, handling disputes, and creating SOPs to ensure smooth backend operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and grow the Customer Service, Disputes, and Supply Chain teams.
- Recruit, train, and structure high-performing teams to enhance efficiency.
- Implement strategies to improve team performance and accountability.
2. Disputes & Risk Management
- Develop and oversee dispute resolution processes to reduce chargebacks and increase win rates.
- Implement strategies to minimize disputes through proactive customer service and process improvements.
- Monitor and analyze dispute trends, implementing preventive measures.
3. Supply Chain & Order Fulfillment Optimization
- Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, ensuring efficient order fulfillment and minimizing delays.
- Troubleshoot logistical issues and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
4. Process Automation & Workflow Optimization
- Design and implement funnels, automated workflows, and CRM strategies to streamline backend operations.
- Build and refine SOPs to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all teams.
- Continuously assess and optimize backend processes to improve operational flow and reduce inefficiencies.
5. Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Establish KPIs for each team and track performance to ensure high standards.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on performance analysis.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an operations manager in dropshipping or a similar e-commerce business.
- Deep expertise in disputes (chargebacks, claims, resolutions) and risk management.
- Proven ability to build and scale teams within an e-commerce environment.
- Strong experience with funnels, workflows, SOP creation, and CRM systems.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in tools like Shopify, Re:amaze, PayPal, CRM systems, and automation platforms.
S- trong leadership and communication skills to manage remote teams effectively.
- Fluent in spoken English
- Available for full-time work with flexibility, including weekends
