JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented administrative professional to join our firm as a Personal Injury Law Clerk. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow within the firm while gaining hands-on experience in personal injury law and legal operations. The ideal candidate has some background in personal injury law and is looking to expand their skill set while supporting our team in case management, document preparation, and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Court Record Management:
- Digitally maintain and organize personal injury case files, documents, and exhibits.
- Track case statuses and deadlines using case management software and online legal databases.

2. Filing and Documentation:
- Electronically file legal documents such as motions, demand letters, subpoenas, and court pleadings.
- Ensure all legal documents adhere to court deadlines and filing requirements.

3. Scheduling and Coordination:
- Schedule court dates, depositions, hearings, and client meetings using digital calendars.
- Coordinate witness appearances, expert testimonies, and subpoena issuance as needed.

4. Communication Liaison:
- Act as the primary point of contact for attorneys, clients, medical providers, and court officials.
- Relay important case updates, court decisions, and settlement negotiations to all relevant parties.

5. Data Entry and Case Processing:
- Enter and manage case data, client details, and legal motions in secure case management systems.
- Maintain accurate records of medical documentation, police reports, and client communications.

6. Assisting Legal Staff:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including organizing legal documents, preparing trial binders, and drafting case summaries.
- Assist with settlement package preparation and insurance claim processing.

7. Maintaining Confidentiality:
- Safeguard sensitive client and case information and ensure compliance with privacy regulations and legal ethics.

8. Financial Responsibilities:
- Process payments, invoices, and financial records related to court fees, client retainers, and settlements.
- Track case-related expenses and ensure proper documentation for reimbursement.

9. Compliance and Reporting:
- Compile and submit reports to law enforcement, insurance companies, and judicial departments as required.
- Ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are met for case proceedings.

Key Qualifications:
- Experience in personal injury law or legal administration preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Proficiency in legal software (Clio, MyCase, Needles, or similar), Microsoft Office Suite, and digital case management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with attorneys, clients, and court officials.
- High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in filings, documentation, and scheduling.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys and legal staff.
- Knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and case processing is a plus.

Position Details:
- Full-Time or Part-Time position available.
- Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience.
