Surgical Authorization Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented surgical authorization specialist to join our healthcare team. As a surgical authorization specialist, you will be responsible for obtaining pre-authorization from insurance providers for surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

-Obtain pre-authorization from insurance providers for surgical procedures
-Review patient medical records to ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate
-Communicate with patients and healthcare providers to gather necessary information for pre-authorization requests
-Collaborate with insurance providers and healthcare providers to resolve any issues or denials of pre-authorization requests
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pre-authorization requests and approvals
-Stay up-to-date with changes in insurance policies and procedures related to pre-authorization

Requirements:
-Healthcare administration or related field
-At least 2 years of experience in surgical authorization or related healthcare field
-Strong knowledge of insurance policies and procedures related to pre-authorization for surgical procedures
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
