## Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our team as a Virtual Assistant. The ideal candidate will help transform raw footage into engaging, professional tutorials for both YouTube and TikTok platforms.

## Key Responsibilities

### Video Editing

- Edit 2 YouTube videos per week (typically transforming 40-50 minutes of raw footage into 20-30 minute final videos)
- Convert each YouTube video into a TikTok-friendly format (9:16 aspect ratio with face camera at bottom half, screen recording at top half)
- Clean up audio to ensure crisp, consistent sound quality
- Remove errors and repeated segments based on natural breaks in recording
- Implement smooth transitions between face-to-camera and screen sharing segments
- Create/implement basic motion graphics to highlight key points in tutorials
- Apply zoom effects and highlights to emphasize important elements in screen recordings
- Maintain consistent color/lighting between camera footage and screen recordings

### Technical Requirements

- Add captions/subtitles to all videos
- Optimize video metadata for SEO (titles, descriptions, tags)
- Implement branded elements (intros, outros, lower thirds) using templates
- Upload completed videos to our specified platform ([Upgrade to see actual info](Upgrade to see actual info), Dropbox, or Google Drive)
- Manage project files with appropriate backup procedures

## Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum 1 year experience in video editing, preferably for YouTube educational content
- Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve Studio (preferred) or other professional editing software such as CapCut
- Strong C1 level English proficiency
- Experience creating content in both 16:9 (YouTube) and 9:16 (TikTok) formats
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proactive communication skills and ability to provide creative suggestions
- Consistent reliability in meeting deadlines

## Technical Requirements

- Internet Speed: Minimum 20 Mbps download/10 Mbps upload
- Computer: Intel i5/AMD Ryzen 5 (8th gen or newer) or equivalent
- RAM: Minimum 16GB
- Storage: At least 256GB free space (SSD preferred)
- Graphics: Dedicated GPU with at least 4GB VRAM

## Work Arrangement

- Freelance position with payment per completed video
- Flexible working hours with focus on meeting delivery deadlines
- Availability for a brief call/chat during UK morning/PH evening for feedback discussions
- Typical workflow:
- Receive raw footage
- Submit draft edit for review
- Receive timestamped feedback
- Implement revisions
- Submit final video
