Operations & Business Development Specialist
Our client is a forward-thinking thriving promotional product + retail merchandise company, is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Operations & Business Development Specialist to join our team. You will be a key player in driving our growth, streamlining our operations, and expanding our client base. You will work closely with the team, actively contributing to our success through strategic thinking, efficient execution, and a passion for creating innovative solutions, and creating and implementing SOPs.
Main Assignment Responsibilities Will Include:
Client Servicing:
Manage client inquiries, orders, and requests efficiently, providing exceptional customer service.
Product Research & Sourcing: Research and gather product options + negotiate best terms and prices based on client needs and market trends.
Quote Management: Compile and present detailed quotes to clients, both internally and externally.
Purchase Order (PO) Management: Place and track purchase orders, ensuring perfectly accurate product execution, and only timely delivery of products. we never deliver late. Ever.
Invoice Generation: Create accurate and timely invoices for clients, adhering to our invoicing process.
Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes, improve efficiency, create and implement best practices.
Software & AI Integration: Research and recommend software and AI solutions to enhance our operations and drive growth. Learn our software systems, including but not limited to: ESP/ASI,
Training & Implementation: Collaborate with the team for brainstorming sessions, team trainings, participate in on-line training events, to constantly and consistently develop and implement comprehensive training materials and Standard
Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key processes.
Constant and Never-ending Improvement.
Always being outcomes-oriented, based on the company's goals.
Business Development:
Client Nurturing: Build strong relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities for reactivating past clients and expanding business with current clients.
Market Research & Outreach: Conduct market research to identify potential new clients and develop strategies for reaching them. While maintaining knowledge of best eco solutions, new eco solutions, and new trends to maintain our foothold of being ahead of the curve.
Sales & Marketing Support: Contribute to developing marketing strategies, creating presentations, and generating leads.
Additional Responsibilities:
Project Management: Assist with project management tasks as needed, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the team to ensure effective communication, brainstorming sessions, all huddles, the mindset of we have your back, and you have all of ours. Our culture requires that we all collaborate and constantly help the team improve.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the merchandising or sales/business development field.
Strong understanding of operational processes and best practices.
Experience with CRM systems and other relevant software tools. Experience with and or ability to rapidly learn:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with clients + vendors/suppliers.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and vulnerabilities.
A proactive and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and deep sense of integrity.
