JOB OVERVIEW

Our client is a leading textile manufacturing company committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement. They are seeking an experienced Lean Practitioner – Order Management & Fulfillment to drive efficiency, eliminate waste, and optimize order processing and supply chain operations.

This role requires a seasoned professional with a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification and a strong background in order fulfillment, supply chain operations, and process optimization at scale. The role operates in UK business hours to support global operations.

Role Overview
The Lean Practitioner will play a key role in optimizing order management and fulfillment workflows using Lean methodologies. This includes reducing inefficiencies, improving order accuracy, and streamlining fulfillment processes to enhance customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in supply chain operations, logistics, and process improvement within a manufacturing or e-commerce environment.


Key Responsibilities
1. Lean Optimization of Order Management & Fulfillment

Lead end-to-end process improvements in order processing, fulfillment, and logistics.
Identify inefficiencies and eliminate waste to reduce cycle times and increase throughput.
Utilize value stream mapping to optimize the entire order fulfillment workflow.
Implement pull-based fulfillment strategies (e.g., Kanban, Just-in-Time) to align demand with supply.
2. Continuous Improvement & Waste Reduction

Apply Lean methodologies (Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke) to enhance efficiency and process standardization.
Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities, reducing lead times and costs.
Optimize order picking, packing, and shipping for greater productivity and accuracy.
3. Order Accuracy & Flow Optimization

Improve first-pass yield, reducing order defects and fulfillment delays.
Utilize takt time calculations to balance demand with production capacity.
Introduce Lean automation solutions to minimize manual interventions in order processing.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration for Lean Fulfillment

Partner with Sales, Procurement, Inventory, Production, and Logistics teams to synchronize fulfillment operations.
Conduct Gemba walks to identify real-time process inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
Foster a Lean culture, empowering teams to participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Performance Metrics & Data-Driven Decision Making

Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as:
Order Lead Time
First-Pass Yield
Inventory Turnover
On-Time Delivery
Order Accuracy
Apply Six Sigma tools (Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams) to solve recurring issues.
Implement Kanban systems for enhanced order and material flow visibility.
6. Customer-Centric Order Fulfillment

Ensure on-time delivery and high order accuracy by reducing process variability.
Work with Customer Service teams to proactively resolve order-related issues.
Improve real-time order tracking systems to enhance customer visibility.
7. Lean Training & Employee Development

Lead Lean workshops and training for order fulfillment teams.
Develop and enforce standardized processes to ensure best practices in Lean order management.
Stay updated on emerging Lean trends and digital transformation technologies.


Key Qualifications & Experience

? 5+ years of experience in Order Management, Fulfillment, or Supply Chain operations within manufacturing, logistics, or e-commerce.
? Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certified with a strong track record in process optimization.
? Expertise in Lean methodologies, waste reduction, and operational efficiency.
? Experience in order processing, logistics coordination, inventory control, and fulfillment execution.
? Proficiency in ERP systems, order management platforms, and automation tools.
? Strong problem-solving skills using Lean Six Sigma methodologies and data-driven decision-making.
? Excellent collaboration skills with experience working across global, cross-functional teams.
? Proficient in English (written & spoken) for effective international communication.
? Comfortable working UK business hours (GMT timezone alignment).


Preferred Certifications (Not Required but a Plus)

? APICS Certification in Supply Chain Management.

? Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or data visualization tools for performance tracking.

? Background in textile manufacturing, consumer goods, or high-volume order fulfillment.
