Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Directory Website Manager to build, optimize, and scale a directory website from the ground up. This role requires expertise in WordPress, SEO, data management, and website monetization through ads, lead generation, and sponsored listings.
This is not just a WordPress development role. We need someone who can drive traffic, automate processes, and generate revenue.

Key Responsibilities
Website Development & Directory Setup (WordPress)
Build and maintain a structured directory website using WordPress and Elementor
Configure and optimize directory plugins (GeoDirectory, WP Job Manager, Business Directory Plugin)
Implement custom post types and advanced filtering for directory listings
SEO Optimization & Traffic Growth
Perform keyword research to find high-value, location-based keywords
Optimize on-page SEO (titles, meta descriptions, H1/H2 structure, URLs)
Implement topical authority strategies to rank directory pages
Use Google Search Console and Ahrefs to track rankings and fix SEO issues
Data Collection & Management
Scrape and collect high-quality business listing data using OutScraper, Google Maps API, or Phantombuster
Clean, organize, and import data into WordPress (bulk CSV uploads)
Verify and enrich listings with reviews, images, and accurate details
Monetization & Revenue Growth
Set up display ads (Google AdSense, Ezoic, Mediavine) for passive income
Sell sponsored business listings and featured placements ($50-$500 per month per business)
Implement lead generation funnels where businesses pay per customer inquiry
Integrate affiliate marketing strategies for product-based directories
Automation & Efficiency Optimization
Automate directory updates, lead collection, and data verification using Zapier, Make (Integromat), or Google Scripts
Ensure the directory scales without excessive manual work

Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
Expert in WordPress (Elementor, Custom Post Types, SEO Optimization)
Strong SEO knowledge (on-page SEO, keyword clustering, internal linking)
Familiar with web scraping tools (OutScraper, Phantombuster, Google Maps API)
Experience managing display ads and monetization strategies
Proficient in automation tools (Zapier, Make, Google Sheets scripting)
Business & Growth Strategy
Understands how to scale a directory website as a business
Experience in monetizing websites through multiple revenue streams
Strong analytical skills—knows how to increase site traffic and conversions
Soft Skills

Salary & Benefits
Salary: $6 - $10 per hour (Based on experience)
Hours: Part-Time (20 hours per week) ? Full-Time (40 hours per week based on performance)
