Job Posting: Construction Accountant

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Accountant to manage financial operations for our residential construction company. This role requires overseeing the entire accounting division, demanding deep accounting expertise and exceptional critical thinking skills. Success in this position depends on your ability to problem-solve independently and manage full-cycle accounting with minimal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:
-5+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting.
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO)—must be familiar with all functions and features.
-Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas and data analysis.
-Fluent in English (spoken and written).
-**Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
-Ability to work independently and take full ownership of accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:
-Oversee job costing, budgeting, and financial forecasting for construction projects.
-Prepare and analyze financial reports, including WIP (Work-in-Progress) reports.
-Handle accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processing.
-Ensure accurate tax filing and compliance with local regulations.
-Perform daily bookkeeping and record-keeping to maintain accurate financials.
-Collaborate with project managers to monitor expenses and improve cost efficiency.
-Manage and update internal cash flow systems to ensure financial stability.
