JOB OVERVIEW

Are you passionate about social media, community building, and festive decor? St. Nick’s Christmas Lighting & Decor is looking for a Social Media Specialist to help grow our brand, engage our audience, and bring holiday magic to every corner of the internet.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation
- Design and create seasonal content (e.g., holiday-themed posts, promotional campaigns) aligned with key dates like Christmas in July or Black Friday.
- Create product spotlight posts to highlight bestsellers, new arrivals, or special offers in our holiday lighting and decor collection. To maximize engagement, edit and optimize photos and videos for platforms like Instagram Stories, Reels, and Pinterest Pins.
- Develop holiday-themed campaigns (e.g., "12 Days of Christmas" or countdowns) to build excitement and anticipation leading up to the season.
- Stay on top of social media trends and leverage insights to optimize strategies.
- Collaborate with our Content Writer/SEO Specialist to promote blog posts, product features, and industry insights.
- Create engaging posts and updates tailored to different audience segments, including Facebook Groups and holiday decor enthusiasts.

Community Building & Engagement
- Regularly host Facebook Group Q&As or polls to engage with the community and gather insights on their preferences.
- Encourage user-generated content by starting hashtag challenges or featuring customers' setups and decorating ideas with our products.
- Implement a daily engagement routine, such as commenting, liking, and sharing relevant posts in the Christmas decor community.
- Monitor competitor brands and relevant influencers to identify collaboration opportunities and community engagement tactics.
- Actively interact with Christmas decor communities and engage with customers to build strong relationships.
- Respond promptly to comments and messages across all platforms, ensuring positive interactions.
- Collaborate with micro-influencers and customers to generate user-created content.
- Monitor brand mentions and manage our online reputation.

Outreach & Networking
- Initiate direct messages with potential clients, collaborators, and influencers to discuss potential partnerships, co-branded content, or giveaways.
- Track and follow up with DM conversations to ensure opportunities are not missed and maintain ongoing relationships.
Develop a database (spreadsheet) of contacts and potential collaborators, categorized by audience type (installers, decorators, etc.).
- Maintain regular contact with our clients to keep them engaged, inform them about new products, and solicit feedback on their experience.

Campaign Development & Execution
- Plan and execute organic and targeted social media campaigns to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and product promotions.
- Launch weekly or bi-weekly themed campaigns (e.g., decorating tips, product spotlights, holiday prep guides) and track performance across all platforms.
-A/B test posts (e.g., image vs. video, different captions) to determine the most effective types of content for engagement and sales.
- Create campaign-specific landing pages or product collections on our website and track their success via social media links.
- Utilize organic outreach on Instagram and Facebook to reach new audiences and increase engagement with our target demographic.

Analytics & Reporting
- Set up custom reports for each platform (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest) that track campaign performance, conversion rates, and engagement over time.
- Provide weekly performance snapshots to leadership, highlighting the best-performing content and suggested adjustments.
- Use social media listening tools to gather real-time feedback and sentiment analysis on how people are talking about our brand.
- Regularly monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as engagement, reach, clicks, and conversions.
- Analyze traffic sources and how social media activity is driving visitors to our e-commerce shop.
- Use analytics tools to interpret data trends and optimize social media strategies.
- Provide comprehensive performance reports to improve strategy and decision-making.

What We’re Looking For:
? Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or in a similar role.
? Strong ability to engage, grow, and sustain online communities through meaningful interactions.
? Deep knowledge of Pinterest, Facebook, and Instagram algorithms, features, and best practices.
? Graphic design skills to create visually appealing content.
? Strong writing skills to craft compelling captions and posts aligned with our brand voice.
? A strategic mindset to develop and execute effective social media campaigns.
? Basic video editing skills to create engaging and professional video content for our social platforms.
? Proficiency in analytics tools to measure, interpret, and optimize social media performance.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers, partners, and influencers.
